Free Maryland Photo Shoot and Comp Card Opportunity

Postby sarahgw » Sat Oct 20, 2007 8:56 am

Hello Everyone.

I am a photographer looking at breaking into doing model shoots. I am located in Baltimore MD. I have a professional Digital Camera, and several lenses, I do not have lighting equipment ( I am working on that), but I do have adobe photoshop, image ready, and illustrator. I am a whiz at photoshop so I can adjust lighting and also fix photos ect. I would be interested in doing a photo shoots for the people in Maryland on your forum. Since, I do not have a studio I would have to work that out on an individual basis. Since I am wanting to build my portfolio, and gain experience I am offering this for free. Thus, this is also a great opportunity for someone looking to get started with a limited budget. I have also made comp cards, but again I want more experience practice with this before I began to offer this as a professional pay service. Later on if you like my work we can set up something on a pay basis.

Thanks,
Sarah Williams

New to Modeling

Postby Nathaniel Scott » Thu May 15, 2008 8:13 pm

Good day,

My name is Nathaniel Scott, and I am graduating high school senior. A few times people who have witnessed me in plays or social events have asked if I modeled and I answered no. I now find it an interest to me after veiwing for myself the modeling process. I was wondering if you could help get me started or help me along. I have no experience, never had a photo shoot, so finding your post has given me an opportunity to start. Is there any date I can come. I am located in Southern Maryland.

Dear Sarah:

This is a wonderful situation for both you and the talent who want to shoot with you. You should read my book, and get all of your models to read my book before the photo session. The book will teach you and the talent how to prepare before the session as well as how to work in front of the camera.

The book will also teach you how to get the most out of each model/actor during the shoot.

Best wishes.

Hey I now this is old but I was curious to know if you were still looking for models to shoot with. If so, I would be happy. I'm only 16 but I live in Md and also need some experience in modeling, we can both help each other. If you are still interested email me at Mz_hllywd@yahoo.com. Thanks
